Fixture alignment and inspection/metrology services at customer facilities using Laser Tracker and Faro Arm equipment.  We travel to your automotive assembly plant, power generation facility, aircraft manufacturing plant, rocket assembly plant, heavy equipment manufacturing/service facility for measurement of objects too large, delicate or difficult to transport to our lab.  Past projects include:

• Alignment of large aerospace fixtures used for engine testing and assembly
• As-found and As-left measurements of dam components and water sensor locations for the California Department of Water Resources
• Inspection of fixtures for aircraft wing skin contour verification
• Alignment of assembly/holding fixtures on automotive robotic production lines

We used AutoCAD and Cadkey in the late 1980’s and migrated to Varimetrix advanced 3-D surfacing and solid modeling in 1991, when the technology was very new.  We incorporated these technologies into our service offerings early-on, realizing this would be the future of the industry.  This made us the first lab on the West Coast to provide advanced surface and solid models created from measurement/scan data.

We specialize in precision scanning of existing parts to produce clean 3-D CAD models suitable for CNC programming or 3-D printing.  Our experience in manufacturing allows us to build CAD models that are targeted to a specific manufacturing process.
